Let the light that comes from you shine all over me, let my shoulders shelter and protect you from the rain, the heat and power that comes from the wind and sun are still our masters, and our landlords, til our tenancy is done. Let the light that comes from you shine all over me, let my shoulders shelter and protect you from the rain, the heat and power that comes from the wind and sun are still our masters, and our landlords, til our tenancy is done. Let the light that comes from you shine all over me, let my shoulders shelter and protect you from the rain, the heat and power that comes from the wind and sun are still our masters, and our landlords, til our tenancy is done. We could have been Arctic explorers, fighting for life in the weather, We could have been mixed race lovers in the deep south, risking death just to be together, We could have been old Cornish smugglers, in and out of every nook in the cove, We could have been pirate rum guzzlers, treasure from chests to troves, We could have been smarter, We could have been darker, We could have been lighter, We could have been brighter, We could have been dancers, We could have been fighters, We could have been from anywhere, Lands near or far, But I love us just the way that we are.

So tell me Fair Catherine, Will you be mine? Take my hand and England is yours, Ireland is yours, all of this land And tell me, Fair Catherine Will you be mine? Tell me in your broken music, My heart is yours, My body is yours, Take it and use it, For I am dirty, And you are clean, If you know what I mean. And tell me, Fair Catherine, Have I over-stepped the line? Push me away, and freedom is yours, To be rich or to be poor, To lonely roam the land, For I am king, and you are queen, If you know what I mean.

When I'm old, you'll be older too This old soul won't know what to do, I'm still cold, because last night I was blue, But I've been told, to live each day like its new, Isn't this good enough for you? It's good enough for me, To be young, clean, green and gorgeous Baby, we're free Stop crying, Hey, I don't like the way you're looking at me, Chin up love, you don't owe me anything, Paved with gold, and lined with silver trees, Here the roads hold everythiong I need, But where did they go? the people I was supposed to meet, Who said the inner ring's closed, and ain't no one beckoned me, But isn't this good enough for you? It's good enough for me, To be young, clean, green and gorgeous Baby, we're free Stop crying, Hey, I don't like the way you're looking at me, Chin up love, you don't owe me anything,

To forgive is to love, but hate is the strength to fight, Heavens and masters above, decisions, decisions, God has given me work, and work is what i craved, My idle mind and my thumbs, were needing to be saved, So bury my soul in the earth, now I'm done with my shoes, Throw them over the ocean, to the shoeless youth God bless the boys of the International brigade, God bless, we are saved! Every man a soldier, women and children too, Don't stop until it's over, you're people need you, From pastures soft and green, to the brutal rock and sand, We'll wipe this planet clean of puppets moved by the devils hand, It's a means, it's a means to an end, It's a means, it's a means to an end, Would you be willing to kill your friends? It's their fault, Kill your friends, It's their fault.

I do not regret the days, Ispent floating in amnesiac haze, I do not regret the years, I spent drowning my fears, beer flavoured tears, I do not regret the times, I spent warping my mind, in ront of powder lines, Until Until Until Until Paranoia sets in, It's enough to make a grown man weep, And weeping I am, Like a real man, I do not regret one single lost bet, Each moment of thrill is worth a lifetimes debt, I have always kept one of these memories, in my sweat, Your soft breath on my face as we slept, Its then I know, I've been well bred and well kept, I've landed on my feet, damn near the top of the steps, Until Until Until Until Paranoia sets in, It's enough to make a grown man weep, And weeping I am, Like a real man,

Nearly everyone who ever beat me up is in prison or they are dead, so you could laugh and tell me I'm winning, in that respect, But the midfield star of my youth football club had to give up to a belly full of lead, saving us all the embarrasment of ignorance, and disrespect, So I'm on social networking sites trying to look up the kid who pushed me down, to see if he's doing ok, and if he's still around, But there's no sign of him and I can't find his friends, or remember quite who they were, shadowy figures in the background of a memory that still hurts, And I don't pretend, for a minute, to fully understand the cruelty of children, other than knowing that they must have suffered at someone else's hand, When pain and fear are the forces you're first meant to stand, I bet you get a little bit belligerent, But I know, it was never part of you're plan because Inside every skull is a brain capable of feeling love, affection, warmth and attention, imagine the first years of your life with none of the above, But Life is short, and you are tall, There's a kingdom of problems, you tower above them all
